For co-founder Gilles Puts, this reality became evident during his career in finance and digital assets, where he saw traditional companies bound to their local talent pools, making scalability a challenge. His experience at sFOX, a fully remote digital assets firm, introduced him to a different hiring approach—one that prioritized talent over location. Meanwhile, Pim Luijten, his business partner and co-founder, had already built and scaled tech and marketing startups using offshore talent. Living in Southeast Asia, the duo witnessed firsthand the incredible pool of skilled professionals, highly qualified yet underutilized by Western companies. 

They identified two fundamental challenges that needed a solution: 

1. Companies worldwide were facing a talent crisis: rising costs, local labor shortages, and difficulty attracting and retaining specialized professionals. 

2. Massive talent pools in Southeast Asia and South America remained disconnected from global opportunities, not due to a lack of skills, but because of barriers related to trust, oversight, management, and compliance.
