Dubai Greenlights a Range of Social Welfare Initiatives as Part of Dubai Social Agenda 33

Recently introduced by His Highness, the Dubai Social Agenda 33 is driven by the central theme of ‘Family: The Foundation of Our Nation.’

Among the endorsed initiatives is the allocation of 3,500 land plots to be distributed among Dubai citizens, alongside 2,300 fully furnished homes across Dubai with a total value of AED 5.5 billion. This decision underscores His Highness’s unwavering dedication to providing comprehensive support to citizens, ensuring the welfare and prosperity of their families.

In addition, His Highness has given explicit instructions to designate the newly allocated area for the housing project as ‘Latifa City.’

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that citizens, their families, and the maintenance of social stability are at the core of all government plans, representing the ultimate objectives of every envisaged initiative. His Highness articulated that Dubai’s enduring success is a result of prioritizing public welfare and effectively utilizing all accessible resources to create optimal conditions for work and creativity. He underscored the significance of providing good housing, welfare measures, and instilling a sense of reassurance and confidence in the future as essential elements in fostering social cohesion within the emirate.

His Highness reiterated Dubai’s dedication to initiating even more substantial projects to realize the aspirations of its citizens.

“Family stands as the cornerstone of the nation and is the bedrock of all development plans. Our overarching goal is to elevate the quality of citizens’ lives, ensuring a brighter future,” he affirmed.

Latifa City, the newly allocated zone for citizens’ housing, serves as a tribute to the memory of Sheikh Mohammed’s mother, Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Highness dedicated a significant portion of his book ‘My Story’ to reflect on her impactful humanitarian contributions and influential role in Dubai.

The designated housing plots for citizens encompass a vast area of 40 million square feet. Eligible citizens from Dubai are set to receive ownership of these plots starting in February. Among these, 2,700 plots are located in Latifa City, and an additional 800 plots are situated in the Al Yalayis 5 area. The 2,300 newly constructed houses for citizens are strategically positioned across various areas, including Al Khawaneej 2, Al Aweer, Wadi Al Amardi, and Hatta. This comprehensive development initiative is a testament to Dubai’s commitment to providing citizens with comfortable living spaces and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
