Expansion of UAE’s ‘Work Bundle’ Initiative to Cover All Emirates

The UAE Government has started the second part of the Work Bundle. Now, it covers all emirates with the digital ‘Work in UAE’ platform (workinuae.ae). This platform helps private companies, individuals, and investors do employment and residency processes all in one place. It brings together all the important organizations needed for these processes.

The initiative follows the UAE Government’s plan to reduce bureaucracy and make services better for users. It aims to improve government efficiency and make the UAE a top place for people to live and work globally.

The announcement was made during a media briefing in Dubai on Tuesday, after collaboration between the groups working on phase two of the Work Bundle.

The unified Work Bundle platform is found at workinuae.ae, makes things simpler for people and businesses in the UAE. Its main purpose is to deliver effective services. It reduces duplication, combines services, and uses advanced technology to make things more comfortable for customers.

Taking inspiration from Dubai’s success, this platform offers a range of services, such as bringing in new employees, renewing contracts, and canceling them. Instead of using many different platforms, now everything is in one place.

Before, the process needed 15 steps and 16 documents. Now, it only requires five steps and five documents. This means fewer visits to service centers too. Before, people had to go seven times, but now they only need to go twice. Plus, the time it takes to get things done has been reduced from 30 days to just five.

All these changes mean that there are 25 million fewer steps in the process, 12 million fewer visits to service centers, and 62 million fewer working days needed to get things done.

The UAE Government has introduced the Work Bundle, a program that offers advantages to all businesses in the UAE. Mohamed bin Taliah, the Chief of Government Services, acknowledges the joint efforts of various federal and local organizations in achieving this significant milestone.

The main goal of this initiative is to make processes smoother and more efficient, which aligns with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. Taliah stresses the importance of collaboration between federal and local authorities, highlighting how working together can lead to better experiences for users of government services. He highlights the positive impact this initiative will have on enhancing the overall user experience by simplifying procedures and reducing unnecessary complexities.

Khalil Al Khoori, who works for the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), talks about how they are committed to the Work Bundle initiative. They want to make sure that they offer proactive digital services to all the organizations involved. Their goal is to make the government work more efficiently by using one platform and advanced electronic methods. This platform will be available all the time and can be accessed from anywhere.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili talks about the benefits of the Work Bundle. He says it helps build better relationships between organizations and improves the UAE’s competitiveness globally. It also attracts more money and talented people to the UAE. He mentions that phase two of the project aims to offer more proactive services, following the success of phase one. The platform fits in with the UAE’s plan to reduce bureaucracy. It makes procedures simpler and reduces the number of times people need to visit offices by 80%.

Eng. Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, who is the Director-General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), talked about the Work Bundle unified platform. He said that it shows how well the UAE Government works together, all focused on helping the customer. This fits with the plans of our leaders and the vision for the UAE in 2031.

Al Mesmar also mentioned that the Work Bundle follows ideas like being proactive, covering everything, and only asking for information once. This all matches with the UAE’s plan to reduce bureaucracy.

Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, who is the Director-General of the Emirates Health Services (EHS), talked about how the Work Bundle marks a new phase in government work, moving forward towards the future.

He said that the Work Bundle is really important for the development of the country. It offers a system of services that focuses mainly on customers and understanding exactly what they need.

According to him, this initiative helps make the UAE’s economy stronger and makes it a great place for people to live and work. He also mentioned that the Work Bundle shows the UAE Government’s dedication to using laws, rules, and technology to make the country grow and create good job opportunities.

The Work Bundle platform in the UAE wants to make things easy for users by making it simple to share information between different organizations. They do this by using one form for applications and connecting everything electronically. They also have one way to make payments, which means fewer trips and less paperwork.

This helps the UAE Government reach its goal of making services work better together, making things better for people and businesses, and following their long-term plans.
