Is there any roadblock/challenge?
As someone who grew up in Mauritius, I had the privilege of traveling extensively for work and holding various high-level positions in the financial sector across different countries. While this sometimes presented challenges for my personal life, I always relished the chance to take on new and exciting projects. One experience that particularly stands out to me is when I was working as a VP for a Shanghai-based company and was tasked with establishing a branch in the Tonga Islands for six months.
This was a life-changing adventure, as I had to adjust to living without my family and learn to cook for myself on a remote island accessed only by car in two hours. As a fun fact, I also love cooking and enjoy working as a part-time chef for private events whenever my schedule allows.
What project did you work on that challenged your innovation and creativity?
The financial services sector in Africa has been growing rapidly, but Payment Service Providers (PSPs) in some African countries have faced difficulties paying their merchants overseas due to high bank fees, exchange controls, or a lack of foreign currency.
To address this issue, we developed a strategy to assist these PSPs, and our efforts have been highly successful. We now offer a USDT solution that allows us to collect local currency in the respective countries and make USDT payouts, enabling PSPs to clear their merchants’ sales proceeds in USDT.
Our USDT transaction turnover has reached around USD 30 million per week, and we continue to see growth as more PSPs and financial companies turn to us for their cross-border transaction needs.
