Dubai Set to Welcome Its Largest-Ever Edition of Gulfood Manufacturing on November 7

The world’s premier trade event, Gulfood Manufacturing, is all set to commence this week, starting on November 7, 2023, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. With a record-breaking turnout expected, more than 36,000 visitors from the food industry will converge for three action-packed days, featuring three co-located events. As the global food and beverage industry ushers in a new era defined by increased sustainability, resilience, adaptability, and efficiency, 3,000 exhibitors representing 80 countries will unveil a multitude of groundbreaking innovations across 21 exhibition halls.

Anticipations are running high for this year’s edition of the world’s most influential annual food and beverage manufacturing event. The Food Tech Summit will bring insights from senior policymakers and global industry experts, while the exhibition floor will be brimming with showcases of state-of-the-art products, solutions, and interactive experiences, including Top Table Gourmand and YouthX.

The FoodTech Summit is set to commence with a keynote address delivered by Tariq AlHashmi, the Director of Technology Adoption and Development at the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT). He will delve into the food industry’s pivotal role in the pursuit of global climate and sustainability objectives and underscore the significance of sustainable solutions in the evolving landscape of food and beverage manufacturing.

“Advanced Food Technology goes beyond current sustenance; it’s dedicated to enriching the future. FoodTech will serve as a cornerstone for fostering innovation, enhancing food quality and availability, all the while curbing greenhouse emissions and championing resource-efficient methodologies,” expressed AlHashmi, Director of Technology Adoption and Development at the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT).

With the conclusion of the UAE’s Year of Sustainability at COP28, the FoodTech Summit will place a significant emphasis on sustainability. Throughout the Summit, sessions will delve into how the manufacturing industry is incorporating sustainable principles and procedures, including sustainable packaging, waste reduction, the adoption of energy-efficient machinery with reduced carbon footprints, and the advancement of traceable, ethical, and transparent food production practices.

The inaugural day of Gulfood Manufacturing will mark the revelation of the victors of the Gulfood Manufacturing Industry Excellence Awards 2023. These awards are designed to acknowledge the most groundbreaking products and technologies that have made exceptional contributions to the industry in the past year. For the current edition, there were over 600 international submissions encompassing ten award categories. Notably, three new categories were introduced, aligning with the event’s pronounced focus on sustainability: the Renewable Energy Initiative, Plant-Based Manufacturing Company of the Year, and Sustainability Champion of the Year.

Dubai World Trade Centre will host three noteworthy food and beverage events in conjunction with Gulfood Manufacturing from November 7th to 9th, 2023. The Speciality Food Festival, a singular gourmet and fine food exhibition in the MENA region, will captivate visitors with immersive masterclasses, demonstrations, and workshops by renowned Michelin-starred chefs, emerging talents, as well as inventive mixologists and baristas unveiling the latest beverage and coffee innovations. ISM Middle East, the region’s largest trade show for sweets and snacks, will spotlight the most recent and innovative products from leading global brands.
