A complete journey about the company? When you have started, how and where?

Our company is dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable energy solutions, along with top-notch after-sales services and operations, to utility corporations and industries. We are a passionate energy solutions and supply company that delivers exceptional services, equipment, and products to the oil, gas, power, and water industries in the MENA region.

Our company was born out of a need to address the power shortage in economically remote areas of the Middle East. Our founders saw the need for power plants that could offer cost-effective and uninterrupted energy to general utility firms and forthcoming industrial divisions through individual distribution/transmission lines, as well as through the general utility corporation grid.

In 2010, our promoters collaborated with Sabson, a leading industrial company under the helm of Mr. Yahya Bajarsh from M/s Bajarsh group, and received funding from organizations such as the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development to establish an investment company. This joint venture proved to be successful, as it led to the implementation of Yemen’s first IPP project with a capacity of 85 MW, which remains operational in the Hadramout region.

Since then, we have executed several projects under rental PPAs in association with the utility grid. Our group comprises over 15 diversified companies involved in power, steel, food, cement, construction, and other industries.

Our business model prioritizes ownership and the establishment, operation, and management of investment projects, whether industrial, commercial, or in partnership with third parties. Our primary goal is to create, own, manage, and operate power plants and their accessories using the BOO & BOOT approach, as well as selling and renting electric power. We also offer advisory assistance and training in the domain of electricity to achieve our objectives.

We uphold business and personal integrity and adhere to applicable laws and regulations through our policies, procedures, and awareness programs. Our investors fully support our endeavors to implement innovative techniques, providing us with proper training, tools, and methods to take timely and appropriate action.

The journey of founder and co-founders?

My professional journey started in 1994 when I joined a major fertilizer group in India as a Project Management Trainee, despite being selected for a commissioned rank in the Indian Navy. I chose to work for the community as it was discovered in my hometown. However, soon after, I left the company and began operating in the Energy field with MAN Diesel Power Plants and MAN Energy Solutions. From 1995 until December 2008, I played a key role in implementing over 150 assignments in different industrial facilities in India and overseas, primarily for Captive Power generation.

In January 2009, I relocated to the Middle East and successfully executed the first IPP project of 85 MW, which became commercially operational by June 2010. During my tenure managing these IPP and other industrial assignments, I acquired useful knowledge and direction, which laid the foundation for my current roles and duties.

My journey thus far has been an exciting and fulfilling one, and I am appreciative of the chances I have had. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the valuable skills and professional development that each role and responsibility taught me. 

For those starting in the electro-mechanical industry, I recommend creating a robust basis of understanding and specialization. This contains getting proper education and training, earning valuable knowledge through hands-on work, on-the-job training at an industrial level, and attending workshops to keep up with the latest technological advancements in the field. Developing a robust work value and a dedication to greatness is also crucial for success. This entails taking satisfaction in one’s work, being dependable, and always providing high-quality outcomes.

How does the company plan to achieve its goals?

Our vision is to establish ourselves as a leading company, locally admired and globally acknowledged for our professionalism in cases of quality, security, virtue, values, adherence, and corporate social accountability.

Our focus is on meeting the energy needs of our clients by taking on large Electro-Mechanical Projects in the fields mentioned above on an EPC basis. We are equipped to handle challenging projects, regardless of their complexity or location, by bringing a unique blend of knowledge, skill, experience, and customer commitment to each project.

Inspiring the team is crucial to the victory of any community. I prioritize building close relationships with my team, providing continuous aid, direction, and motivation, and fostering a cooperative and supporting work background to assist everybody to succeed, enjoy their work, and achieve their full potential. We emphasize individual strengths and provide additional training to address any weaknesses. I firmly believe in teamwork and setting an example for others.

Our team takes responsibility for any mistakes, viewing them as part of our learning journey. To further develop our expertise, I sometimes give team members to follow training sessions at the individual OEM centers, run workshops, and deliver standard on-the-job training in their places of specialization. This approach helps to encourage and recognize the team’s efforts, fostering a genuine desire to excel. Each section leader in our team oversees care by conducting it from the front.

Motivating our team is a top priority for us, and we have implemented various strategies to create a supportive work environment that fosters employee engagement, satisfaction, and growth. We define clear objectives and anticipations and ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities, which helps to promote a sense of purpose and direction. We also recognize and reward hard work and offer incentives to encourage and inspire our team members to excel.
