Dubai: Dubai AI Academy, a significant initiative focused on incorporating AI education and encouraging its adoption across vital economic sectors, was launched by Dubai’s Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His Highness launched this transformative initiative at the launch of Dubai AI Week 2025, which was conducted with the support of Sheikh Hamdan and DCAI.
Dubai AI Week is a great initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation, and this year it was organised from April 21 to 25 at multiple locations across the emirate, including the Museum of Future and AREA 2071 at Emirates Towers. At the Dubai AI Week 2025 closing ceremony, Sheikh Hamdan announced that the next edition of this visionary initiative will be organized in April 2026. He added that Dubai AI Week 2026 will double its goals, add 20 city-wide events, and position the emirate as the annual meeting for the global AI leaders.
Dubai AI Academy: A Vision for Knowledge-Based Economy
His Highness, Sheikh Hamdan, said that Dubai will be the prime destination for those who aim to lead the AI future. He added that the government will support visionary initiatives highlighting the various and promising uses of AI and the opportunities it provides to boost economic growth and enhance growth in government, society, and education.

The Dubai AI Academy is housed within Dubai AI Campus, located in DIFC Innovation Hub, the emirate’s biggest hub for AI and innovative tech enterprises. This initiative, supported by the DIFC Academy, aims to educate 10,000 emerging and experienced leaders, which can help the emirate reinforce its position as a global leader in providing AI certification training programs. To offer specialized programs that teach the participants the advanced AI skills needed to lead in an AI-enabled world, this transformative initiative will collaborate and take support from various globally esteemed institutions, including Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, the Minerva Project, and Udacity.
Dubai AI Academy: Shaping the Future of AI Excellence
Initially, the Dubai AI Academy will offer courses, including AI for Civil Service for government employees and Leadership in the Age of AI, aimed at smart and strategic thinking, ethical standards, and adaptability in advanced technological settings. The AI Academy initiative is focused on extending the reach of AI education to fulfill the emirate’s goal of making a twofold AI impact on its GDP and strengthening its reputation as a global leader.
This initiative is designed to achieve Dubai’s future aim to secure a reputation as a worldwide center for AI, tech, and innovation. The Dubai AI Campus, which was launched in 2023 under His Highness’s directives, will play a significant role by supporting this transformative initiative with computing power, a specialized AI business licensing approach, and business growth initiatives. By encouraging talent growth within Dubai’s developing AI, FinTech, and innovation network, this academy also aligned with DIFC’s 2030 goals. It can be anticipated that this is one of the most progressive Sheikh Hamdan AI initiatives that will majorly enhance productivity within the local workforce, as it will encourage AI applications and technology integration in both the public and private sectors.
