Dubai: Tireless efforts and support of countless people behind the scenes made the extravagant firework celebrations at 36 destinations to welcome 2025 in the glittering emirate of the UAE possible. On January 1st, as the world entered a new year, the ruler of the Emirates shared a note of appreciation and gratitude to all those people who worked dedicatedly and tirelessly to ensure the tremendous success of New Year’s Eve grand celebrations.
Dubai’s Grand Festivities Mesmerized Residents and Visitors from 190 Nationalities
The current ruler of the Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is serving as the country’s Prime Minister and Vice President, wrote a special note of thanks on his X account. Through this note, he appreciates the commendable work done by the Events Security Committee, which was assigned to maintain and ensure the success of New Year’s Eve grand celebrations in Dubai.
His Highness shared that he is grateful to the committee consisting of 55 government agencies, which has contributed to another tremendous and extravagant celebration of the New Year through its smooth, secure, and well-managed arrangements. Referring to Dubai as the city of the world, he explained how its grand celebrations served as a global example of civilization, tolerance, and coexistence. Further in his note, His Highness showed his gratefulness to New Year’s Eve celebration attendees from 190 countries. He concluded his note with the aspiration of the Emirates being a country that welcomes and becomes a role model for the world.
The grandest night of the gone year featured dazzling fireworks displays, stunning cultural performances, and top-tier drone shows. From Burj Khalifa to Global Village, the city’s iconic landmarks mesmerized millions of attendees through their impressive visuals and high-end celebrations. Comprehensive measures were implemented by the Events Security Committee to ensure smooth and peaceful celebrations at major event areas through constant monitoring of traffic and yacht parties.
2025 New Year’s Eve Celebrations Planning and Execution
33 support tents were set up by Dubai’s police to assist visitors and event attendees through various services at major event locations, especially in Downtown Dubai, where 19 tents were set up. From first-aid and lost-and-found services to reporting criminal activities and general inquiries, many services ensure a secure ambiance at each iconic celebration venue.
Additionally, to address potential medical emergencies, a well-equipped team of health professionals with facilities like eight treatment rooms was established near Burj Khalifa. For comprehensive healthcare coverage, the city’s health authority assigned 1,800 medical professionals specialized in different fields and seven medical points at different locations.
Tireless work and efforts by hundreds of medical professionals, police officers, and other administrative personnel ensure a smooth, secure, and captivating experience for millions of attendees to the world’s most renowned New Year’s Eve celebrations in the city of skyscrapers.
