Dubai is taking a big step towards helping the environment with its new Blue Visa program. This special visa gives people from all over the world the chance to live in Dubai for 10 years if they have done significant work to protect the environment. It was announced on February 12, 2025, during the World Governments Summit, and it aims to bring in people who are doing amazing things to help the planet.
The Blue Visa is meant for environmental leaders, like people who work for organizations or companies that care about the environment. It’s also for those who have done a lot of important work, such as scientists, researchers, and activists. The first 20 people to receive this visa have been recognized by The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) for their hard work in helping the environment, both in the UAE and around the world.
