UAE Unveils New Fujairah Border Crossing to Oman for Smoother Travel

Abu Dhabi: On February 26, 2025, a significant announcement was made by ICP that the operations at the Wam border crossing in Fujairah, which is a new border crossing that will connect the Emirates and Oman. The new border crossing post in Dibba Al Fujairah will make travel easier between the two prominent GCC nations by enhancing connectivity and allowing travelers and residents to travel smoothly for business, leisure, and other purposes. 

New Fujairah Border Crossing: Enhancing UAE-Oman Connectivity

Established over an expansive area of 1 million square meters, the new Fujairah Border Crossing post features 19 buildings. The UAE’s ICP Director-General Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili announced that the operations at this latest border crossing began on February 25. He further said that this new gateway between the Emirates and Oman is designed to enhance connectivity and boost tourism and trade between the two nations. 

The Sultanate of Oman authorities have also confirmed the beginning of operations of this latest Dibba Border Crossing in Musandam. The authorities confirmed that this strategic investment is made with the vision to strengthen security management efforts for land borders, seaports, and airports and to enhance easier travel between the two countries.

The new Fujairah and Dibba Border Crossing in UAE and Oman is designed to reinforce trade relations between the two nations; the authorities have encouraged travelers to adhere to all necessary travel procedures and present requested documentation while using the newly established border crossing.
