Barbados Witnesses a 32% Surge in GCC Passenger Numbers in 2023

The official tourism authority of the Caribbean island country has released data showcasing a remarkable 32% upswing in GCC travelers in 2023, as compared to the previous year. The latest figures reveal substantial growth in visitor arrivals to Barbados from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. Among the favored destinations on the island for GCC travelers are the capital, Bridgetown, and the internationally acclaimed beaches along the West Coast and South Coast. These areas host a plethora of luxury villas, all-inclusive resorts, upscale dining establishments, and entertainment options, contributing to the island’s popularity among discerning travelers from the Gulf region.

Visit Barbados has selected dnata Representation Services, based in Dubai, as its sole representative for sales, marketing, and public relations in the GCC. This collaboration aims to deliver the latest updates, exclusive rates, tailored itineraries, and more from Barbados to travelers in the region. The partnership will emphasize highlighting trending experiences for 2024, with a particular focus on travel packages for the eagerly awaited ICC T20 World Cup games scheduled to take place in Barbados this year. The primary objective is to foster an increase in passenger numbers to the country, showcasing Barbados as a premier destination for GCC travelers.
