1. Nurses with Long-Term Service
Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, the Dubai Health Authority announced 10-year Golden visas for nurses working there for over 15 years. This announcement was made on May 12, 2025, on International Nurses Day, to honor their important role in the healthcare sector. Dubai’s Crown Prince praised nurses’ role in building a healthier society and making life better for the residents. This will greatly support the growth of the medical tourism sector, which welcomes nearly 3.7 million visitors every year, as per DHA’s data.
2. Teachers & Educators
Professionals working in Dubai’s education sector, including private schools, early childhood centers, and universities, can now apply for the UAE Golden Visa 2025. Dubai’s KHDA granted teachers and educators significant contributions to the emirate’s education sector. A similar visa program has been introduced by RAK DOK for private teachers and educators. This move is a strategic decision to improve the rank of the Emirates’ education system, which is ranked at number 10 worldwide by UNESCO.
3. For Content Creators
The newly added Golden Visa categories have now made content creators, filmmakers, and social media influencers eligible for a 10-year Golden Visa. The creative residency pathway was launched this year in January at the 1 Billion Followers Summit. This visa is supported by Creators HQ, which is a platform that supports the UAE’s creative economy growth. Applicants eligible for this visa can apply for it by visiting the Creators HQ website and live and work in the nation independently without any sponsor support. This move has also opened doors for individuals with the best startup story in content and digital media to build their career in the UAE.
4. E-Sports & Gaming Professionals
Under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, Dubai has introduced a Golden Visa program for gaming professionals. This strategic decision is a part of the DPG33 2033 initiative, and makes only those gamers and professionals eligible who are employed in the e-sports sector. Anyone who wishes to apply for this must be above 25 and have a Dubai Culture accreditation certificate. This move is made to develop Dubai as a hub for e-sports professionals worldwide.
5. Luxury Yacht Owners in Abu Dhabi
Under the Abu Dhabi Golden Quay initiative, a new eligibility criterion is introduced in the UAE Golden Visa 2025 program. Now, luxury yacht owners owning a yacht over 40 meters can apply for this long-term residency visa. This visa is particularly designed for those who are agents, manufacturers, stakeholders, etc., in the yacht-related businesses. This change is made to grow the maritime tourism sector, which significantly supports the country’s economic growth.
