Who are the co-founders of Edutainment Solutions, and what inspired you to launch this company?

Edutainment Solutions was co-founded by two individuals who shared a similar passion for meaningful and joyful education. With backgrounds in education, mental health, nutrition, event logistics, and quality control, we had a vision to create experiences that are professional, awareness-oriented, and community-focused, both inside and outside the educational academies or schools. Therefore, we wanted to bridge the gap between good intentions and well-executed educational experiences. 

How did the idea for Edutainment Solutions come to life?

Our ideas and business grew over the years as an active part of school communities. One of us was the president of a parent association, and we saw how hard schools work to have meaningful events, but also saw that these events usually get dropped or neglected because their time resources are generally limited. That is when we identified a need. We launched Edutainments Solutions as a means to support schools by providing a wide variety of turnkey and sponsor-supported solutions, such as:

  • Year Books and class photos 
  • International Days, Spring Fairs, markets, and awareness events
  • Student/family workshops 
  • Packs, themed community dinners, and school-wide celebrations

Starting this September, we are also expanding beyond schools. For example, we will cater to the following: 

  • Family workshops and educational play dates in your home 
  • Parent awareness talks with psychologists (in Arabic, English, and French)
  • Corporate events that encourage family bonding and emotional well-being 
  • Creative community gatherings, in cafes and public spaces, for all ages 

From schools to homes, to cafes, and companies, everything is carried out with a strict vision, which is learning through joy.

What is the journey behind the co-founders?

One of us is an expert in quality control, nutrition, and mental health, and has worked in clinical and educational environments. Additionally, in the last six years, she has also engaged in the organization of various school events, such as graduation, international days, and community fairs.

The other co-founder has experience in education and has worked with families, with an especially strong background in logistics, in addition to creating meaningful relationships with schools and families. Together, we integrate strategy and structure with emotion. This allows us to create meaningful and adequate experiences through Edutainment Solutions.

Who are your customers? And have you supplied it to anyone? What is the feedback?

We currently work with schools such as:

  • Le Lycée Français Bilingue International (ICE): Here, we led the Yearbook project and coordinated their International Day.
  • LFI de l’AFLEC. In this institution,  we organized Family Days that were attended by more than 4,000 participants.

This September, we are excited to also work with:

  • Individual families for play dates and in-home workshops
  • Cafes and public venues for creative, awareness-driven gatherings
  • Companies that are looking to offer staff meaningful family-strengthening and emotional connection experiences.

We are also working towards establishing a publicly available program of workshops and talks that will focus on family dynamics, child development, and mental wellness. It will be delivered in multiple languages and will be hosted in inclusive community spaces for accessibility.

The feedback has been extremely positive and people consistently appreciate our flexibility, creativity, and our ability to work collaboratively with them to turn their educational objectives into joyful and playful experiences.

What support do you need from the public and customers?

For growth and community service, we are looking for:

  • Sponsorship and partners: Partners who can co-fund school events and create more visibility. 
  • Visibility and Word of Mouth: We are looking for visibility and positive word-of-mouth through activities like public campaigns.
  • Collaboration with professionals: We are seeking educators, psychologists, and wellness experts who can co-create comprehensive multilingual programs for parents and families with us. 

Through Edutainment Solutions, we are not just organizing events, we are developing shared spaces where people come together, grow, and be seen.

Have you reached breakeven?

We are in a strategic investment stage at the moment. Right now, we are mainly concentrating on expanding our services, solidifying our structure, and creating long-term visibility. At this time, we are not recognized as “fully profitable” as we aim to attain this recognition, though we are not recognized as “not profitable” either. We are not currently operating at a loss is a fair statement. We can cover all the operational needs and offer services to our customers. However, we are continuously reinvesting back into growing and diversifying our services.

Are you looking for investors?

Currently, we are not looking for traditional investors. Instead, we are focusing extremely on strategic partnerships that include clinics, educators, artists, venues, and wellness professionals. We are looking for partners who align with our vision and want to create meaningful educational and joyful experiences together.  We want collaborations where both partners contribute value and purpose, as we collectively support families, children, and communities.

What is your message to your customers and viewers?

At Edutainment Solutions, we know true learning occurs only when people are engaged, relaxed, and happy. We design comprehensive experiences such as a celebration of learning, an inspiring workshop, and a casual gathering to connect and create with communities. This is executed all while leaving room for connection, discovery and growth.

We do this because we understand that more often best learning happens when we don’t even realize that we are learning.  That is the kind of magic we do – for children, families, and communities everywhere.
