It was inaugurated by Dubai’s Department of Economy & Tourism’s Director General, His Excellency Helal Saeed; General Directorate of Identity & Foreign Affairs’ His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri; and VFS Global Group founder and CEO, Mr. Zubin Karkaria.

High-Capacity Centre to Process 2 Million Applications Annually
Spanning over an expansive area of around 150,000 sq. ft., the visa application centre at Wafi City is a significant upgrade in the handling and processing of visa applications. This centre has the potential to handle up to 10,000 visa applications in a day, which is the highest for any place in the world.
This massive innovation is supported and handled by a team of over 400 trained professionals from more than 25 countries. The largest visa application centre in Dubai will assist over 200 submission counters and 37 different governments with their visa services. By bringing many visa services together, this place will make it easier for people to apply for a visa and travel worldwide.

At the inauguration of the world’s largest visa application centre, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri said that this innovative achievement shows how the nation’s wise leaders are working to solidify its position as a global leader in smart services and developing a special model to deliver high-quality and fast government services. This centre is aligned with the Emirati government’s We the UAE 2032 vision and supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Highlighting the deep ties between the UAE and VFS Global Group, its Founder & CEO, Mr. Zubin Karkaria, said that their group has been operating in the Emirates since 2004.
