Enzo Ferrari, the son of a grocer, initially dreamed of becoming an opera singer or sports journalist. In 1929, Enzo Ferrari established the Scuderia Ferrari racing team, initially preparing Alfa Romeo cars for competitions. In 1939, Enzo founded Auto-Avio Costruzioni, supplying racing car components. In 1947, he introduced the first car under the Ferrari name—the 125 S—featuring a powerful V12 engine and elegant design. World War II delayed further success, as Enzo’s factory was repurposed for the government and later bombed. After the war, Ferrari S.p.A. was formed in 1947, producing the first true Ferrari models: the 125 GT, followed by the 125S, 159S, and 166.
