UAE Introduces Golden Visa for Writers, Podcasters, and Video Creators

UAE Golden Visa’s New Initiative: Creators HQ Dubai

The groundbreaking initiative of UAE Golden Visa, Creators HQ, was launched on January 13, 2025, at Dubai’s marvelous skyscraper, Emirates Tower. Creator HQ Dubai will serve as an innovation hub, promoter, and support for digital creators worldwide by offering exceptional resources. The hub has already partnered with prominent global tech firms like TikTok, Meta, and X and has already drawn 100 members from 20 nations across the globe. 

The major goal of this hub is to enhance its reach to diverse creative professionals worldwide, boost its robust economy, and reinforce its position as a global digital or content creation hub. This initiative is greatly supported by the Emirates government, which provided an impressive amount of $40.8 million to the Content Creators Support Fund. The support fund assists creative professionals with UAE golden visa applications, relocation support, and business registration. 

The UAE’s Cabinet Affairs Minister, Mohammad Al Gergawi, talking about this initiative, said the UAE is home to a multicultural population, and this uniqueness makes the country a prominent hub for global creators. He further added that this latest initiative will connect global creative professionals to funding and investors that will assist them in expanding their audience and innovations.

Overview of UAE Golden Visa & Its Benefits

Introduced 6 years ago, the UAE Golden Visa is a long-term residency permit for expatriates who are highly skilled and knowledgeable, like visionary entrepreneurs, scientists, and other talented professionals. The Golden Visa holders’ working and residency is legally permitted for 10 years, which can be extended. Its major benefits include:

  • Long-term (10 years) residency in the country with validity expansion availability.
  • Smooth multiple entries and exits in the Emirates secure a great travel experience to other nations.
  • Allows an expatriate to work and earn without securing an employee contract or work permit.

Who Can Apply for Creators HQ Dubai Golden Visa?

Major eligibility requirements: 

  • Applicants for this visa must be 25 or older. 
  • Applicants must possess a proven track record of their achievements in digital content creation.
  • Applicants need to present a detailed plan outlining their content creation activities.
  • Applicants must present proof of financial stability or sufficient funds.
  • Documents verifying the above eligibility requirements, valid passport, etc., are required to be provided.

Explaining the eligibility requirements for Creators HQ Dubai Golden Visa, Ajmera said that global digital creators with proven records of achievements in content creation at the national and international levels can take support from the innovation hub for business registration, visa applications, approvals from media councils, permits, etc. Additionally, influencers, creators, or freelancers must pay an annual required fee, which can range between AED 1,000 and AED 20,000, based on their work’s nature.

He further explained that Indian creators will only be eligible to take advantage of this initiative if their creative work has made an impressive influence on a global scale. The competition is very high and creators must adhere to the set regulations to successfully run their self-employed enterprises.

Creators HQ: A Part of AED 150 Million Content Creators Support Fund

The expanded program of UAE Golden Visa, Creators HQ, was officially introduced in the 3rd edition of the world’s largest and first event dedicated to digital content creators like writers, podcasters, and video creators. The summit made a great highlight as it attracted over 15,000 content creators, 125 CEOs, global experts, and more than 420 speakers from around the world.

This initiative is a part of the 150 Million Content Creators Support Fund launched by His Highness, the current prime minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammad. With this initiative, the country is aiming to fuel growth in its digital content industry. Apart from this initiative, global content creators can benefit from over 300 events and workshops organized by Creators HQ Dubai that focus on skills like branding, audience engagement, etc.
